Adjusting device for controls of prime movers.
The invention relates to an adjustment device for valve controls in which valves are raised by cams and rocker arms.
Adjustment devices are known which have the purpose of eliminating the inaccuracies in the functioning of the control caused by the wear and tear of the control elements. However, these adjusting devices have the disadvantage that their arrangement is attached to the control parts that participate in the movement of the valves and, due to their weight, cause an increase in the acceleration pressures. In addition, they are difficult to access in many cases.
An exemplary embodiment which avoids these fundamental deficiencies is shown in the drawing. Fig. 1 shows the adjusting device in connection with the control, Figs. 2, 3 and 4 show the adjusting device alone.
In Fig. 1, a control shaft carries the cam a, which actuates the valve spindle by means of rocker arm b. One end of the rocker arm b is arranged in a vertically displaceable bearing e.
By moving this bearing wear of the valve spindle f, the rocker arm, the bolts d and c u. Like. Be compensated.
The displacement of the bearing e takes place by means of a disk i which is attached eccentrically to the pin j, which is rotatably embedded in the housing wall A and is provided with a slot 11 through which the pin y extends. The sliding bearing e, secured against rotation by guides g, can be clamped in the respective position by means of the nut k and the pin j, which extends through a longitudinal slot l arranged parallel to the adjustment direction in the housing and through the eccentrically mounted disk t. By slightly releasing the nut 7c and turning the eccentric
