Process for the production of natural colored reflective images.
EMI1.1
give colorless compounds and thus disappear, in some cases those which, when used as colorless invisible compounds, are restored to their original color by the above treatment. An alkaline mixture of erioglaucine and acid fuchsine z. B. is blue; by treating with acids it becomes the same
EMI1.2
red again from acids. A color grid is colored red, grim and purple in this way and provided with a corresponding silver layer. The recording can then be made, developed and fixed in the usual way. After making the screen layer sensitive to light, the screen is copied and developed in a known manner through the silver negative and its original colors are converted into the new colors, e.g.
B. red in green, green in red and purple in yellow. The image obtained in this way is placed on a suitable base, and the silver screen can be removed before, during or after development.
If the final color does not have the desired strength in some of the dye mixtures mentioned, which are particularly suitable due to their absorption ratios, a transparent body is added to the colloid used for a filter color, which separates out in insoluble or test form on further treatment of the halftone image. Thus, either by precipitation, lacquer formation or the like, a color already present in the colloid can be given the necessary color strength or the basis on which a certain color can subsequently be strongly reflected can be created.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Example: Dissolved fluorbarium is added to the color colloid. In the course of the known, further treatment, barium sulfate is filled with dilute sulfuric acid, to which the dye accumulates with sufficient strength and durability.
An example of the coloring of the converted metal compounds in the colloid can be the addition of silver nitrate and subsequent conversion of the same with iodine potassium to iodized silver, which can be colored with aniline dyes in a known manner.
In the present process, however, it is not necessary to mix ready-made dyes in colorless form with the primary colors.
Use intermediate products of the tar color industry, from which dye syntheses are then carried out in the colloidal medium (on the photographic plate or the photographic paper) according to known methods. This significantly increases the number of options available. You can z. B. add suitable colorless compounds to the primary dye, which then od in the colloidal medium with solutions of nitrous acid, diazo compounds, nitroso compounds, aldehyde solutions, hydrazine solutions. The like. Come together to form the complementary dyes.
So not only does the colloid layer contain colorless starting materials for dyes, but dye components are also added to the developing solution, which only give the desired dye with those contained in the colloid layer.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A process for the production of naturally colored reflective images with the help of color grids, characterized in that one uses a colloid dye mixture suitable for the chromate or a similar copying process for the production of the grid elements, some of which are treated with acids or alkalis or by neutralizing, oxidizing or reducing gives colorless compounds, i.e. becomes invisible, while the other part consists of colorless, i.e. invisible compounds, which take on a color through such treatment.
