Receiving device for underwater sound signals.
The invention relates to receiving apparatus for underwater sound signals, in which a lever-like acting transmission organ is switched on between the radiation organ and the actual display device (microphone), which allows to generate an oscillation amplitude of a different magnitude on the actual display apparatus than occurs at the coupling point of the radiation organ with the transmission element . The device according to the invention is characterized in that the Schallappa. council with two (or more) radiation organs, e.g. B. is equipped with two sound membranes, which in turn are both connected to the same lever-like member wilkenden on the actual receiving organ or organs.
Furthermore, the invention consists in that the two membranes are arranged on different sides of the lifting system, so that they act on the same with opposite amplitudes. Finally, the device according to the invention is made in such a way that the connecting points between the sound diaphragms and the lever system are placed in such a way that the fulcrum of the lever is located between the fastening points of the lever with the diaphragms.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. According to this illustration, the membranes 2 are arranged parallel to one another in the longitudinal walls of an air-filled capsule 1 that can be submerged in water, between which a resilient bracket 4 is suspended by means of the pins 3, 3 such that each arm forms a rigid, non-uniform lever. The point 5 of the lever system 4, in which the pivot point of the lever arms lies in this case; is tapered in cross-section to strengthen the suspension. Between the free ends of the bracket is a suitable display device, e.g. B. a pressure microphone 6 or some other detector is provided which is in communication with a listening device.
In the device shown in the figure, the fulcrum of the lever is formed by the thinned point which is located at 5 between the two attachment points of the lever system and the membranes. With levers configured differently, this pivot point can also be created in some other way. Likewise, it is not necessary to arrange the microphone in such a way that both arms of the lever act on the same thing; rather, microphones can only be connected to one arm of the lever and the lever arms can be arranged in a manner other than that shown.
