Folded breathing tube for breathing apparatus.

Breathing hoses on the breathing device are used in particular to connect the airways of the device with the respiratory organs of the device wearer. For this purpose, corrugated tubes are mainly used, i. H. easily movable hoses with bellows-like folded walls, which are naturally not particularly strong against tension and tearing.
 EMI1.1
greater strength against tearing can be given.

According to the invention, the intended purpose is achieved in that a tubular, net-like coating made of suitable material is covered over the hose, the ends of which are attached to the ends of the hose or its connecting pieces and which is dimensioned in terms of its longitudinal extent so that it extends the length of the Corrugated hose limited and thereby protects the relatively sensitive hose against tearing.
 EMI1.2
or to limit it, a lengthy strap is drawn into the mesh cover, the ends of which are also attached to the hose ends. Of course, any number of such pull straps can be provided.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the coating consists of one of
 EMI1.3
are also fastened to the corrugated tube by wraps c.

Such a mesh or band grid cover does not prevent the breathing tube from moving and yet it provides an extremely strong resistance to tearing the tube.

Compared to other types of coverings, a mesh or band grid cover offers the advantage that any damage to the hose can be easily identified immediately. The production of such covers is also the cheapest imaginable and the folding itself is very simple and easy, especially in mass production, since the covers can be cut from the net or lattice material in the required lengths or strips and it is not absolutely necessary is to close the lengths laid over the hose like a hose.
 EMI1.4
 portable breathing apparatus.
