Bleistifthalter.

Pencil holder.
The invention relates to a pencil holder, in which by means of a resilient push button resilient pliers holding the pencil in the retracted position can be opened to release the pencil and, when the pencil holder is reversed, to let it emerge from the sleeve of the latter due to its own weight. The invention is located in that the mutually inclined legs of the pliers inevitably connected to the push button, z. B. through openings are so straight that the pliers are forcibly opened or closed when pushing forward or backward. As a result, individual parts of the mechanism that get stuck or the latter failing are easily and reliably avoided.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows the position of the pencil holder in the position of use on an enlarged scale, FIGS. 2 and 3 show sections along the lines AA and BB in FIG. 1, FIG. 4 shows the position of the pencil holder before the pencil is inserted in the position. in which the pencil holder is released from the pliers and can be pushed back into the sleeve.
In the sleeve a; a button c is straight out in longitudinal grooves of an insert b. which is always in d- by the spring d. r top layer is held. At the lower end of the button c are the resilient legs g. g of a pair of pliers, which pass through holes Z in the bottom h of the insert b and are bent in the shape of a hook at their ends. A square mandrel i grips through the base h, and at its lower end a sleeve k for receiving the pencil
EMI1.1
Ends of the pliers legs g, g can engage in order to hold the mandrel i in the uppermost or lowermost position.
Suppose the pencil holder is in the ear smoke. position (Fig. i). When the button c is pressed down, the pliers move, the free ends of the legs g, g being spread apart through the guide holes l in the bottom li (FIG. 4) and releasing the mandrel i. Now the pencil is pushed into the sleeve o either by simply pushing in the pencil or by turning the whole pencil holder 180 ", as indicated in FIG. 4 with dash-dotted lines.
Then the push button c is released and the spring f L drives it and with the help of the guide holes l also the resilient pliers legs g, g back into their original position. The hook-shaped leg ends are then placed in the upper notches n and hold the mandrel i in this position again. If button c is then depressed again, the pin i, as discussed earlier, is freed from the force of the forceps and drops the pencil until the hook-shaped legs again engage in the upper notches n and hold the pencil in the position of use.
