PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i.

Rock drill with resistance surfaces in recesses in the cutting edge.

The invention relates to a rock drill with resistance surfaces in the cutouts in the cutting edge. In the case of these rock drills, the drilling effect is usually influenced in an unfavorable manner by the fact that the material remaining between the groove incisions is pressed against the face or from the outside inwards. According to the invention, this remaining material is removed by pressure from the inside to the outside, in that the resistance surfaces or breaking bodies act like a wedge outwards in the feed direction of the drill. This allows the drill to advance faster with less
Power consumption reached.

The drawing illustrates two embodiments of the new drill. According to FIG. 1, the drill blade is provided with teeth 1 and 2 recesses.

The bottom of these recesses, which runs obliquely outward from the center, forms breaking surfaces 3. If the drill penetrates the rock, the teeth 1 cut grooves that are concentric to one another, while in the recesses 2 the material in
Shape of rings remains. As the drill penetrates further, these
Rings are eliminated by the sheet metal surfaces running in an appropriate angular position to the longitudinal axis of the drill with a wedge-like effect from the inside to the outside. According to Fig. 2 are on
Place of the wedge-like acting crushing surfaces located between the teeth, crushing bodies used for the purpose of reducing the frictional resistance as much as possible in the form of
Rollers o, the like. Are held.

The rollers can be given a jerky movement and thus a jerky effect through appropriate profiling. In the same way as the crushing surfaces described in the first exemplary embodiment, the crushing bodies cause the material rings remaining between the teeth to be removed from the inside to the outside.

The drill has teeth 1 and recesses 2 between them. In contrast
 EMI1.1
Storage 5. Instead of the approximately horizontal storage illustrated in FIG. 2, these rollers can also be stored vertically. It should be noted that the teeth 1 need not form one piece with the drill blade, but can be attached to it.

PATENT CLAIMS: i. Rock drill with resistance surfaces in recesses in the cutting edge, characterized in that the resistance is formed by breaking surfaces (3) which act like a wedge outwards in the feed direction and the longitudinal axis of the drill.
