Es werden nicht wie bisher Metall und Kohle mechanisch in Verbindung gebracht, sondern es wird sogenanntes Metallpapier (siehe z. B. das D. R. P. 97570), d.   h.   galvanisch oder mechanisch aus Metall-am besten aus galvanisch hergestelltem, chemisch reinem, vernickeltem Kupfer-hergestellte Folien, welche mit Papier oder einem   ä.

   quivalenten Stoff inmg   verbunden sind, zunächst derart behandelt, dass auf die möglichst poröse nichtmetallische Schicht des Metallpapiers Kohle bildende, flüssige organische Substanzen (Lösungen von Zucker, Gummi, Harzen und dergl.) so lange aufgetragen werden, bis das Ganze eine zum   grössten Theile   aus den   genannten organischen Körpern   bestehende feste und innigst zusammenhängende Platte bildet.

   Die so erzeugte Platte organischer Körper wird nun vollständig wasserfrei gemacht und darauf in die erforderliche Bürstenform gebracht und dann unter hohem Druck so stark wie möglich zusammengepresst Nachdem die organischen Körper nun so   vorbereitet sind, findet alsdann erst   die Verkohlung derselben, und zwar unter   Luftabschluss statt-  
Bei dem so hergestellten Stoff sind Metall und Kohle so innig verbunden, dass sie ein gleichmässig elastisches und durch das Schleifen am Collector nicht differentiell abnutzbares Ganzes bilden und in   Bürstenform   für die Stromabnahme am Collector die   oben geschilderten Vortheile gewähren.

P. 97570), i.e. H. galvanically or mechanically from metal - preferably from galvanically produced, chemically pure, nickel-plated copper-made foils, which are covered with paper or something similar.

   equivalent substance inmg are initially treated in such a way that carbon-forming, liquid organic substances (solutions of sugar, rubber, resins and the like) are applied to the non-metallic layer of the metal paper, which is as porous as possible, until the whole is largely covered the said organic bodies existing solid and intimately connected plate forms.

   The plate of organic bodies produced in this way is now made completely water-free and then brought into the required brush shape and then pressed together as strongly as possible under high pressure. After the organic bodies have now been prepared in this way, they are only then charred, in the absence of air.
In the material produced in this way, metal and carbon are so intimately connected that they form a uniformly elastic whole that cannot be differentially worn by grinding on the collector and, in the form of a brush, provide the advantages described above for drawing current on the collector.

PATENT CLAIM: Method for producing brushes for electrical machines, characterized in that so-called metal paper in its non-metallic layer with one of the EMI2.1 After it has been brought into the shape of a brush, it is charred by an annealing process with dry heat.
