Wire link belts are already known, the links of which consist of flat-wound wire screws articulated to one another by a cross bar each, each of which encloses a wooden filling, the straight, parallel wire legs located on the inner side of the belt being sunk in grooves in the filling . The invention relates to such drive belts and aims to prevent the displacement of the filling strips within the wire screws in the direction of their wire legs.
This is achieved according to the invention in that the wire screws are provided with helical hinge eyes at the transition points from one of the wire legs to the other, which serve for the passage of the connecting rods, with two rows of such hinge eyes each encompassing one of the filling strips and holding it in position.
The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows one of the links of the drive belt seen from the inside thereof, FIG. 2 shows the cross section along the line AB of FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 shows the longitudinal section along the line CD of FIG Fig. I.
Each link of the drive belt consists of a flat wound wire screw with straight legs b, c surrounding a wooden filler bar a. The wire legs b located on one side of the filling a are parallel to one another and lie in one and the same plane. The same applies to the wire legs c. The filling strip a is equipped on its one surface facing the pulley with parallel grooves a1 for receiving the wire legs b. According to the invention, the wire is wound at the transition points from one of the legs to the other in a helical manner, each with a circular eye d. The distance between adjacent eyes d is dimensioned in such a way that there is space between two eyes of one wire screw for one eye of a second wire screw of the same type, which belongs to the adjacent belt link.
By means of a transverse rod (not shown) which, as a hinge bolt, passes through the aligned eyes d of two adjacent wire screws, these are connected to one another in an articulated manner. The two rows of hinge eyes d each encompassing one of the filling strips hold the filling strips in position so that they cannot move in the direction of the wire legs b, c.
Each of the wire legs b, c can be bent out of the plane in which the remaining wire legs b and c, which are parallel to it, around its hinge eye d and then
