Kokille.

Mold.
Molds are already known which, according to the selected work piece, consist of a number of shaped sections.
The invention relates to such a mold and consists in that the
EMI1.1
The spaces open into a row of horizontal, parallel gas discharge channels between each two sections.
The effect obtained by the arrangement of these interspaces and channels is that extremely sharp, cast seam-free casts are created because the air escapes completely during casting and the casting compound cannot penetrate into these with the specified width of the interspaces.
On the other hand, with a gap width selected under o-i5 WMH, the gas outflow velocity would be so small that a complete outflow, especially with faster casting, is no longer guaranteed with certainty, whereas with widths of over 0.2 mm there is again the risk of melt material penetrating begins in the gaps.
In the drawing, a mold designed according to the invention is illustrated, for example.
The mold is composed of the parts 1, 2, 3, 12, 13 and 14, which are shaped according to the shape of the selected casting and according to the invention have an interspace of o'iMM to 0'2 W at their contact points. These interspaces open into a series of horizontal, parallel channels a, b, e, d and e, which penetrate the mold and serve as air exhaust openings. They are arranged in such a way that they come to lie in the interface between two parts without having to completely dismantle a part. The sections 12, 13 are connected by screws 15 to the upper part 14 provided with a handle 16, while the sections 2, 3 are pushed into one another in the
Lower part 1 are inserted loosely and supported on cover plate 5.
The cover plate 6 is fastened by screws 11 to the lower part provided with a handle 6 and also supports the ejector pin 4, which in turn carries the sprue 10.
The material used for pouring is heated to a dark red glow, whereby it has the right consistency so that it cannot penetrate into the gaps. When pouring, air and any gases that may develop escape through the gaps and the adjoining channels a, b, c, d, e, that is the shortest route, unhindered and completely into
Free castings that are so sharp that external thread diameters, channels
Key grooves, recesses, etc. Like. No more reworking.
