   Es ist bei gewissen kinematographischen Bildern erwünscht, das   gebräuchlichste   Querformat durch das Hochformat zu ersetzen. Sollen mit demselben Apparat beide Bildgattungen vorgeführt werden, so bringt man im Strahlengang ein Spiegelsystem an, dass das Bild um   900   um die Längsachse des Strahlenbündels dreht. Um besondere Wirkungen zu erzielen, ist es nun erwünscht, in einer Bildreihe von dem einen Format zu dem anderen überzugehen, ohne den Betrieb zu unterbrechen ; es muss dann das Spiegelsystem mindestens bei der Vorführung genau bei einem bestimmten Bilde ein-bzw. ausgeschaltet werden. Um dies zu ermöglichen, soll gemäss der Erfindung die zum Übergang von dem einen Format zum anderen erforderliche Bewegung der Spiegel selbsttätig erfolgen, z.

   B. in der Weise, dass an dem Filmband, etwa vor derjenigen Stelle, wo die liegenden Bilder anfangen, die bei der Projektierung aufrecht gebracht werden sollen, ein Organ angeordnet ist. welches mechanisch eine Hemmvorrichtung auslöst, wodurch das Spiegelsystem in den Weg der Lichtstrahlen gebracht wird. Unter Umständen kann auch die Auslösung dieses Spiegelsystems und dessen Anbringung an die gewünschte Stelle auf elektrischem Wege stattfinden.
