Elektrische Einrichtung zur Bestimmung von Gesehossgeschwindigkeiten innerhalb des Rohrweges.
Das Wesen vorliegender Erfindung besteht in Folgendem : Aus einem Metallring 1 (Fig. i). der dem Geschützrohr angehörig gedacht oder aus demselben gebildet wird und aus vom Materiale des Metallringes verschiedenen Metallen oder Erzen 2,3 wird'ein Thermoelement hergestellt, dessen Anheizung durch die Reibungswärme des sich bewegenden Geschosses 13 (Fig. 2) erfolgt. Für ein Thermoelement ist der Stromverlauf 7, 3, 5, 5, 2, 7 (Fig. i) dargestellt.
Werden in gleichweit voneinander entfernten Stellen oder allgemein an Stellen bekannter Entfernung voneinander derartige, nebeneinander liegende Thermoelemente gebildet, und in dieselben ein registrierendes Galvanometer 8 eingeschaltet, so zeigt die Stromkurve in den Augenblicken, in welchen das Geschoss an jene Stellen des Geschützrohres gelangt, an welchen die Thermoelemente angebracht sind, Extremwerte, z. B. in 9 bis 13 der Kurve 7 in Fig. 3 dargestellt.
Wird ausserdem durch eine Stimmgabel gleichlaufend mit der Stromkurve die Zeit registriert (Kurve 8, Fig. 3), so kann offenbar die Geschwindigkeit des Geschosses im Rohre 12 festgestellt werden. An Stelle des registrierenden Galvanometers kann auch ein registrierendes Instrument treten, welches die Schwankungen einer Telephonmembrane auf einem lichtempfindlichen Streifen registriert. Ein derartiges Instrument ist in Fig. 2 mit 14 bezeichnet.
Unter a ist eine Lichtquelle, durch b die schwingende Telephonmembrane, durch c der mit letzterer verbundene Spiegel und mit d ein gleichförmig abrollender Film angedeutet.

The essence of the present invention consists in the following: A metal ring 1 (Fig. I). which is intended to belong to the gun barrel or is formed from the same and from metals or ores 2, 3 different from the material of the metal ring, a thermocouple is produced which is heated by the frictional heat of the moving projectile 13 (FIG. 2). The current curve 7, 3, 5, 5, 2, 7 (FIG. I) is shown for a thermocouple.
If such juxtaposed thermocouples are formed in locations equidistant from one another or generally at locations known from one another, and a recording galvanometer 8 is switched into them, the current curve shows the moments in which the projectile reaches those points of the gun barrel where the thermocouples are attached, extreme values, e.g. B. in 9 to 13 of the curve 7 in FIG.
If the time is also registered by a tuning fork in parallel with the current curve (curve 8, FIG. 3), the speed of the projectile in the barrel 12 can obviously be determined. Instead of the registering galvanometer, a registering instrument can also be used, which registers the fluctuations of a telephone membrane on a light-sensitive strip. Such an instrument is denoted by 14 in FIG.
A light source is indicated under a, the vibrating telephone membrane through b, the mirror connected to the latter through c, and a uniformly rolling film under d.
