an appropriate amount of bronze or dye off; its permanent association with the
Web and smoothing can be effected by two press rollers g, g '. Here, too, a scraper directed against the paper web can be arranged behind the accumulation, which even out the removed dust layer. However, it is also possible to immediately charge the paper web from the vessel B with a mixture of liquid binding agent and bronze or paint dust, so that both form a single layer and there is no accumulation from the funnel t.
After the bronze or paint dust with the
Paper web is combined, it arrives via the roller h to the lower roller i, in front of which a lacquer solution is collected by a constant inflow from a container C arranged higher to form the protective layer against oxidation. Here, too, the thickness of the absorbed layer depends on the rotation and tension of the paper.
The protective layer is dried in the further course of the web movement from the higher-positioned roller k over the heated roller e, from which the covering material, which is now completely prepared on the upper side, can be wound onto the roller 11Z. In order to provide the covering material on the back with the layer side required for attachment to the base, if necessary, the. Before winding the web upwards along guide rollers and then backwards so that the underside now comes to rest up. The web is now led to a deeper roller, in front of which a paint solution has collected in the same way.
As can be seen, the use of inking rollers and other devices, which always only allow an application in more or less coarse layers, is superfluous according to the method of the invention, while the removal of the layer material only by the movement of the moving paper web layers of extraordinary fineness and
Produces evenness.
PATENT CLAIMS: 1. Process for the production of covering material, in particular for cigarette mouthpieces, by feeding the excess application material onto a web of thin tissue paper, characterized in that the paper web running over or under guide rollers decreases the application material in a thickness corresponding to its course.
