Gemäss vorliegender Erfindung werden nun die Feuerkisten aus kupferbelegten Eisenbleche hergestellt. Auf diese Weise wird das Eisen den schädlichen Einwirkungen entzogen. Die Haltbarkeit der Feuerkisten wird also dadurch erheblich vergrössert. Durch das Eisen wird aber andrerseits wieder die Festigkeit der. Feuerkisten aus kupferbelegtem Eisenblech erheblich gegenüber den aus reinem Kupferblech bestehenden Feuerkisten erhöht.
Eine derartige Feuerkiste besitzt also gleiche Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen die schädlichen Einwirkungen der glühenden Kohlen und Feuergase wie eine Feuerkiste aus reinem Kupfer, dieser aber gegenüber den Vorteil der grösseren Festigkeit.
Eine derartige Feuerkiste hat also eine grosse technische und wirtschaftliche Bedeutung.
Die Eisenbleche können ein-oder zweiseitig mit einem entsprechend dicken, festhaftenden Kupferbelag versehen sein.
Der Kupferbelag braucht sich nicht auf die ganze Ausdehnung der Feuerkiste zu erstrecken. Es kann ein teilweiser Belag erfolgen, an den Stellen, die besonders den schädlichen Einwirkungen ausgesetzt sind.
