  Schwimmerventil.

 EMI1.2
 und hierdurch an Wasser gespart.

  Float valve.

This invention relates to a float valve, the float lever of which acts on the valve or the valve lever by means of several pressure transmission points in such a way that it is effective at the start of ventilation and the immediate closure of the valve with greater leverage than when the valve is open, in order to enable smooth opening and closing of the valve .

Two embodiments of this device are shown in the drawing. FIG. I illustrates an embodiment in longitudinal section with the valve closed with a raised valve, valve lever and float lever drawn in dashed lines. Fig. 2 shows the valve in connection with a tilting vessel.

In FIG. 1, 1 is the supply pipe for the rinsing water and 2 ′ is a ball valve, which is connected by an arm 79 to a lever 18 mounted outside of the valve housing 16 so as to be pivotable by 17. A useful embodiment of this device is the. the arm 19 and the ball 2 'not to be connected and the latter' to play like a conventional ball valve.

It is also possible to guide the ball within the valve housing 16 between several ribs: 20 with a small amount of play. The ball is preferably made of glass and cooperates with a rubber seat.

The device for changing the leverage consists of a double-armed float lever 22, 23 pivotable by 27, the short arm 22 of which is equipped with two or more elevations 24, 25, one of which 24 forms a roller. When the float sinks, the float lever acts against the valve lever 18 in such a way that initially when the valve is closed, the roller 24, which has a shorter lever arm a, acts on it, thereby opening it
 EMI1.1
causes the valve to continue to be raised and held open.

The valve opening is initiated with greater leverage, i.e. greater force than the further lifting or keeping the valve open, in order to surely overcome the initially greatest water pressure and to reduce the lifting force in accordance with the water pressure, which decreases with the size of the valve opening, and thus a shock-free opening of the valve. Conversely, when the float rises, the valve closure is initially counteracted with a smaller lever ratio and immediately before the valve closure with a greater lever ratio, thus achieving a smooth valve closure.

In FIG. 2 the float valve 2 ′ according to FIG. 1 is connected to a tilting vessel 26 holding the rinsing water, which can be pivoted about 27 and is operated by means of a chain hoist 28 or the like. A stop 29 of the tilting vessel acts on an extension 3U of the lever arm 22, the elevations 24, 25 of which actuate the valve lever 18 in the manner described. Here, the action of the float lever 22, 23 is only considered for the smooth closing of the float valve 2 'and the float can be relatively small.

The tilting vessel can also act on the valve lever 18 or directly on the valve. By
 EMI1.2
 and thereby saved water.
