   Es sind bereits Arbeitsständer für Schuhmacher bekannt, bei welchen der Leisten, mit einem kantigen Zapfen auswechselbar auf einen in einem Unterteil drehbaren Bock aufgesteckt ist und der Leistenvorderteil durch eine an dessen Zehenteil angreifende verstellbare Stütze gehalten wird. Dieselben haben den Übelstand, dass die dabei in Anwendung kommende, aus leichtem, dünnem Metallband hergestellte Stütze den Leistenvorderteil insbesondere bei Bearbeitung des aufgespannten Schuhwerks durch Hammerschläge nicht fest genug unterstützt, um sicher nageln zu können. Diesem Übelstande soll gemäss der Erfindung dadurch abgeholfen werden, dass die Stütze für den Leistenvorderteil wohl verstellbar, aber an sich starr ausgebildet ist und ihr Vorderende sich gegen eine abgesetzte Nut im Zehenteil des Leistens anlegt.
