Blechkantenhohelmaschinen zum gleichzeitigen Behobeln von zwei aneinanderstossenden Kanten wurden bisher in der Regel so gehaut, dass zwei Blechkantenhobelmaschinen üblicher Bauart im Winkel zueinander angeordnet sind ; die Bleche wurden hierbei auf die miteinander verbundenen Autspannbetten der beiden Maschinen aufgelegt und mit Hilfe yon Spann vor- richtungen festgeklemmt, die in über den Betten vorgesehenen Spannbügeln angeordnet sind.
Das Blech musste demnach zunächst auf die Betten aufgelegt und dann unter die Spannbügel bzw. Spannvorrichtungen geschoben werden. Diese letztere. Arbeit war nicht nur sehr zeit- raubend. sondern auch sehr mühselig. weil dabei ein Kran oder eine sonstige Hebevorrichtung nicht zu Hilfe genommen werden konnte. sondern diese. \rbeit vielmehr ausschliesslich von Hand vorgenommen werden musste.
Diesem Übelstand soll die vorliegende Erfindung dadurch abhelfen, dass nur eine der beiden Maschinen mit einem Spannbügel bzw. mechanischen Spannvorrichtungen versehen ist. während in das. Aufspannbett der zweiten Maschine Magnete eingefügt sind, die das Festhalten des Werkstückes besorgen. Das Auflegen der Bleche macht bei einer solchen Konstruktion nicht mehr Schwierigkeiten als bei jeder anderen einfachen Blechkantenhobelmaschine.
Von Vorteil ist ferner. dass die Magnete nicht die gegen das Verschieben der Bleche erforderlichen Spannkräfte zu leisten haben. sie brauchen vielmehr nur die Bleche auf ihrer Unterlage festzuhalten. denn die Bleche sind dadurch gegen Verschieben gesichert, dass der Spannbügel mit den Spannvorrichtungen der einen Maschine gehieben ist und den nötigen Klemmdruck abgibt.
In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung in Fig. i im Querschnitt, in Fig. 2 im Grundriss schematisch veranschaulicht. Es ist hierbei der Fall zugrunde gelegt, dass die die langen Kanten bearbeitende Maschine mit Spannhügeln versehen ist, während die Maschine für die kurzen Kanten mit Magneten als Festhaltevorrichtung ausgerüstet ist.

Sheet edge planing machines for the simultaneous planing of two contiguous edges have been hewn so far as a rule that two sheet edge planing machines of conventional design are arranged at an angle to one another; the metal sheets were placed on the interconnected clamping beds of the two machines and clamped with the help of clamping devices which are arranged in clamps provided above the beds.
The sheet metal therefore first had to be placed on the beds and then pushed under the clamps or clamping devices. This latter. Not only was work very time consuming. but also very laborious. because a crane or other lifting device could not be used to help. but this one. Rather, the work had to be done entirely by hand.
The present invention is intended to remedy this disadvantage in that only one of the two machines is provided with a clamping bracket or mechanical clamping devices. while magnets are inserted in the mounting bed of the second machine to hold the workpiece. The placement of the sheets does not cause any more difficulties with such a construction than with any other simple sheet bevelling machine.
It is also advantageous. that the magnets do not have to provide the clamping forces required to prevent the sheets from moving. Rather, they just need to hold the sheets on their base. because the metal sheets are secured against displacement by the fact that the clamping bracket is lifted with the clamping devices of one machine and gives off the necessary clamping pressure.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the invention is illustrated schematically in cross section in FIG. 1 and in plan in FIG. 2. This is based on the case that the machine that processes the long edges is provided with clamping bows, while the machine for the short edges is equipped with magnets as a holding device.
