C-D von Fig. i wiedergeben.

Collectors for electric railways.
The invention relates to a current collector for electric railways, in which a grinding hanger is provided with a grinding wheel that can be rotated about its longitudinal axis. It is characterized by the fact that, with the elimination of any further storage, an electrical and mechanical connection between the contact strip and the sanding bracket is established by springs j, t. which extend in the longitudinal direction of the contact strip and are subject to torsion.
This arrangement has the advantage over the leaf springs known from contact strips on pantographs that, during operation, the contact strip not only rests properly and with a wide area on the contact line, but also replaces the pivot bearing in a certain sense. At the same time, however, the springs also serve to transfer current, so that no interruption or bad transition point is caused by the storage, as was always the case with the previous arrangements.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter are illustrated, which differ little from one another. The first embodiment (Fig. I to) is of the type of ordinary grinding hanger and the second embodiment (Fig. 5 to 8) of the type of pantograph. Fig. I is the front view of a contact tip end of the first embodiment and Fig. 2 is the associated top view, while Figs. two cross-sections along line e A-B or
Play C-D of Figure i. Similarly, Fig. 5 is a front view and Fig. 6 is a top view of a collector tip of the second embodiment. while FIGS. 7 and 8 show cross-sections along line E-F and G-H of FIG.
In both embodiments, the contact strip consists of the pieces of coal I. which sit on a correspondingly shaped carrier 2 and of which the two end pieces 3 arranged at the ends of the same are equipped with sockets 5. The contact piece formed in this way is attached to the web of the sanding bow 4, which is only present at the ends. A spring 6 (leaf, spiral. Worm spring) or the like) is attached to each of the web-forming leg ends of the grinding hanger 4, which extends in the longitudinal direction of the contact strip and on the other hand is screwed to it.
For this purpose, in the first embodiment, a connector 7 is riveted to each end piece 3, which is connected at its inner free end to the spring 6 by a screw 8, while in the second embodiment directly on the carbon

to be stored, rotate the springs on both sides around its longitudinal axis, with the springs trying to maintain it in the central position and there is no danger. that the power line is interrupted somewhere.
