Verfahren zur Herstellung von Alkalisulfat bzw. Alkalibisulfit.
Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Alkalisulfite, insbesondere Natriumsulfit bzw. Natriumbisulfit durch Einleiten von schwefeliger Säure in Alkalisilikat. Das Verfahren wird gemäss der Erfindung in der Weise ausgeführt, dass die schwefelige Säure und das Alka1isilikat gleichzeitig bzw. nebeneinander aus Natriumsulfat bzw. Natriumbisulfat gewonnen werden. Die zweckmässige Ausführungsform des Verfahrens besteut darin, dass Natriumsulfat oder Natriumbisulfat mit Kohle und Kieselsäure erhitzt wird, wobei schwefelige Säure und Kohlensäure gebildet wird, während als Rückstand Natriumsilikat verbleibt. Die gebildete schwefelige Säure und Kohlensäure werden in eine Lösung des als Rückstand gewonnenen Natriumsilikat eingeleitet.
Dabei bildet sich Natriumsulfit bzw. saures Natriumsulfit unter Abscheidung von Kieselsäure. Diese Kieselsäure wird abgepresst und getrocknet und zur Zersetzung von neuem Bisulfat bzw.
Sulfat verwendet.
Das Verfahren gemäss der Erfindung ermöglicht demnach die Herstellung von Alkali-

The present invention relates to a process for the production of alkali sulfites, in particular sodium sulfite or sodium bisulfite, by introducing sulfurous acid into alkali silicate. According to the invention, the process is carried out in such a way that the sulphurous acid and the alkali silicate are obtained simultaneously or next to one another from sodium sulphate or sodium bisulphate.
