   In der Patentschrift Nr. 70277 ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Kontrastbildnern beschrieben, welches darin besteht, dass bekannte Metalle oder deren Verbindungen in feingepulvertem Zustande mit heissem Paraffin übergossen werden und dieses Gemisch während des Erkaltens des Paraffins sorgfältigst verrieben wird. Das nach dem Erkalten an den Partikelchen der Kontrastmittel fest anhaftende Paraffin soll dem Schwergewicht dieser Stoffe beim Einbringen in Flüssigkeiten entgegenwirken und so eine gleichmässige Verteilung des Kontrastbildners im Magen und Darmkanal ermöglichen. Zur Erhöhung der Wirkung des Paraffins werden dem Gemisch noch spezifisch sehr leichte Körper hinzugefügt, wie z. B. Pflanzensamen oder gepulvert Holzkohle. 



   In weiterer Ausbildung dieser Erfindung hat sich nun gezeigt, dass man an Stelle dieser leichten Substanzen Tragant oder andere   PBanzensehleime   oder   Pektinstoffe   dem Kontrastbildner beimengen kann. Durch den Zusatz dieser Stoffe wird eine sehr gleichmässige Verteilung des Kontrastbildners in der Magenflüssigkeit bewirkt, andererseits hat ein so hergestellter Kontrastbildner den Vorzug, dass er mit noch weniger Widerwillen genommen wird, als der nach dem Stammpatent hergestellte.
