   Der Gegenstand der Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Ersatz für Zwirn fäden und besteht im Wesentlichen darin, dass zu dessen Herstellung als Ausgangsprodukt die im Handel üblichen bandförmigen Streifen aus Bast verwendet werden. Die Herstellung des Zwirnfadenersatzes erfolgt in der Art, dass diese Streifen in 2 bis   a     inj)   breite Litzen geschnitten und diese Litzen in die Fadenform gedreht werden. 



   Es sei bemerkt, dass man wohl bereits aus solchen handelsüblichen Baststreifen Seile gedreht hat, welche aus mehreren in der gegebenen Weise miteinander vereinigten   Daststreifen   bestanden. Dem gegenüber unterscheidet sich der Ernndungsgegenstand dadurch, dass er zunächst die Unterteilung der   Baststreifen   in schmale Litzen verlangt, durch deren nachherige Eindrehen Fäden in der entsprechenden Länge von 120 bis 160 cm hergestellt werden.
