Description

  Lighting device for X-ray systems.

The X-ray tube operation mostly takes place in darkened rooms. For certain measures, such as B. for regulating series resistors or reading measuring instruments, a special lighting device must be provided. General diffuse lighting is harmful because it makes it impossible to observe the fluorescent screen, which must take place in complete darkness; Local lighting only at the points where it is directly needed is linked to the existence of an existing electrical light line.

According to the present invention, the inductor current used to operate the X-ray tube is simultaneously conducted through specially designed Geissler tubes which emit a weak light which is sufficient for local illumination. These small Geissler tubes are connected directly to the high-voltage circuit in series with the X-ray tube, do not affect the X-ray circuit in the least because of their low resistance and automatically illuminate the device in front of them when the X-ray tube is switched on.

The Geissler light, which is weak in itself, is expediently concentrated by placing de) tube windings close together, e.g. B. by the spiral shape of the Geissler tube.

This lighting device has the great advantage that it can be attached anywhere, does not require any other equipment than the high-voltage tube current that is already present, and that, due to the series connection with the X-ray tube, it is automatically activated when the tube circuit is switched on. which it does not affect further, lights up without any further action.
