Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer mit Farbe mischbaren Anstrichmasse zur Herstellung von Anstrichen auf Holz, Glas, Eisenwaren, Mauerwerk usw., gemäss welchem geschmolzenes Harz mit Kalk und Petroleum und einer Lösung von Zinkchlorid in einer Sublimatlösung unter fortwährendem Umrühren gemischt, erhitzt und wieder abgekühlt wird, worauf nach Beendigung des Umruhrens der flüssige Teil dor. Mischung in einem weiteren Gefässe mit Luft behandelt wird, zwecks Erzielung der nötigen Dichte und Reinigung des Produktes.
Bei vorstehendem Verfahren können als Harz auch Kolophonium und dessen Surrogato angewendet werden, ferner kann sowohl gelöschter wie ungelbschter Kalk Verwendung finden und kann auch während des Verfahrens Tetrachlorkohlenstoff beigemengt werden.
An Stelle des Tetrachlorkohlenstoffes könnten auch andere geruchverändernde Stoffe wie Amylacetat, Benzoeharze usw. zugesetzt werden. Der Tetrachlorkohlenstoff bzw. die anderen, an seiner Stelle verwendbaren, goruchverändernden Stoffe, können auch nach Herstellung der Masse dieser noch beigemischt werden. Die Reihenfolge der Beimischung der verschiedenen Stoffe zum Harz sowie deren Aggregatzustand kann beliebig gewählt werden.

Im weiteren werden noch 700 Gewichtsteile Petroleum beigemengt und das Ganze durchgehend gemischt. Nach erfolgter Abkühlung auf 100 bis 300 C werden noch 75 Gewichtsteile Leinöl beigefügt.
Nach Einstellen des Umrührolls und nach Abkühlen der Masse sammeln sich die Unroinmgkeiten und spezifisch schweren Teile auf dem Boden des Mischgefässes. Der darüber stehende flitssige Teil der Mischung wird in ein weiteres Gefäss übergeführt, woselbst dersolbon noch 20 Gewichtsteile Tetrachlorkohlenstoff beigemengt werden. In diesem Gefäss wird das Produkt aus mit einem am Boden des Gefässes mit siebartigen Austrittsöffnungen versehenen Röhrensystem austretender Luft behandelt, wodurch eine grössere zum Gebrauche notwendige Dichte des Produktes erzielt wird.
Bei Verwendung der Anstrichmasse für Anstriche auf Holz, Glas usw. kann dieselbe vorgängig mit Farbe gemischt werden.
