Wlndkossepülvorrlchtung fOr Aborte.

Duct flushing device for toilets.
The present invention relates to an air chamber flushing device for toilets, in which the inflow valve is opened in a known manner by acting on a control element and connected to the air chamber, while when the pressure in the air chamber has reached a certain level, this pressure acts on one Stepped piston, the control element is automatically switched over in such a way that the air chamber comes into contact with the flushing pipe after the feed valve has been closed.
In the known devices of this type, the control by hand for the purpose of establishing the connection between the inlet pipe and the air chamber is effected by applying pressure to an outwardly projecting part which is connected to the control body in such a way that it can move in each of its directions of movement affects the control body. This has the disadvantage that while water is flowing over into the air chamber, it can be influenced by moving the control element in the opposite direction, so that the air chamber does not fill up to a certain extent, but the water flows out earlier. Such an action on the push button is very likely for a person who is used to flushing immediately when acting on the flushing valve.
According to the present invention, the handle is now connected to the control body, which is designed as a stepped piston, in such a way that the latter can only be influenced in one sense, namely that of full air chamber filling and subsequent full flushing, so that e: ne

d the inflow valve is produced by the action of the stepped piston.
The effect of the flushing device is as follows: When at rest, the stepped piston h, i is in the position shown in dotted lines, so that the housing a and the air chamber e are completely free of water because the connection is established through the channel formed by the constriction k of the stepped piston with the flushing pipe p is made continuously. Is done by pulling the button! H the stepped piston is brought into the upper position, the stroke effect of the

is perpendicular, so that the movement component directed towards the displacement of the valve falls exactly into the valve axis.
By adjusting the stuffing box screw n, the downward movement of the handle bar 1 and thus of the stepped piston h, i can be regulated in order to be able to adapt the width of the passage between the lower edge of the sealing surface r and the piston i to different water pressures. If the water pressure is low, you will give more passage cross-section so that the water flows out in a closed amount.
The stuffing box n is arranged on a special part o which is screwed into the housing a and at the same time serves to clamp the sealing collar f. The part o has a cavity of such a diameter that a free annular space s remains between it and the piston h, so the piston h is only guided at the inner end of the part o.
If the sealing sleeve f does not hold completely tight, some water will escape into the
Cavity s. So that it does not get further from here through the stuffing box n, a hole t is provided in the hollow rod l through which the leakage water enters the interior of the
