  Lederfaserstoff und Verfahren zu seiner Gewinnung. 



     Die zu   Leder verarbeitete tierische Haut enthält ein mehr oder weniger geschmeidiges Gewebe, das aus Faserstoff besteht, der den zum Spinnen verwendeten Wollhaaren ähnlich ist. Das Gewebe tritt an der Fleischseite der gegerbten Haut vor der Anwendung des Schabeisens besonders in Erscheinung und gibt ihr ein tuchartiges, unregel-   mässiges Aussehen. Dieses tucharitige Gewebe wird, un@ der Fleischseite des Leders Glätte   und um dem Leder selbst gleiche Dicke zu geben, mit dem Schabmesser und dgl. entfernt, dabei in der Faser zerschnitten und wertios gomacht, während eine vorsichtige, die Faser schonende Ablösung von der Fleischseite einen für Gespinst- und andere Zwecke geeigneten Faserstoff ergibt. 



   Die Ablösung der Lederfasern geschieht nach der Erfindung durch Abhoben der Fasern von ihrer Unterlage   nnd   durch Abziehen der so   gehohenen   Fasern mittels   mechanischer   Mittel. Da die Fasern an der Fleischseite des Leders nahezu wagerecht liegen und schräg nach abwärts im Leder wurzeln, eignet sich zum Aufrichten derselben ein schräg nach abwärts gerichtetes kantiges Flacheisen, das stossweise gegen die Fleischseite des Leders bewegt wird. Das Eisen kann an seiner Stosskante mit winkelig zu derselben angeordneten Rillen   versehen   sein, so dass die Fasern in kleinen Bündeln abgehoben werden.

   Das Abziehen der Fasern erfolgt durch ein zangenartiges Werkzeug, das die gehobenen Fasern erfasst und von   der Ftssischsnite dos Leders abzieht.
