Vorrichtung an Radlal-Dampf-oder-Gasturbinen.

Device on Radlal steam or gas turbines.
The invention relates to a device on radial double rotary turbines and has the purpose of enabling its implementation with large drainage cross-sections.
The main innovation consists in the fact that, outside of the usual blade systems of the radial double rotation turbine, axial turbine blade joint systems are added to the turbine disks rotating in the opposite direction. The last-mentioned systems can consist of a guide device and a rotor blade ring, but the number of such rings can also be greater.
An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing. a is the turbine housing, b, bl are the two shafts of the turbine and c, cl are the two turbine blades arranged on them and rotating in opposite directions. d, (/, 1 are the steam inflow ducts and e is the steam outflow duct. f are the outermost blade rings in the radial blade system, outside which curved plates, walls or the like 9 are arranged, which convert the radial direction of movement of the steam into an axial one.
Before the steam enters the space enclosed by the turbine housing and connected to the outflow duct, it has to flow through an axial blade system h, in the embodiment shown consisting of only one guide ring and one race ring, although the number of rings can of course be larger .
This design enables an extremely increased utilization of the steam in the outer blade rings, which causes difficulties in radial turbines with only axially extending guide and race rings because of the great length of the outermost blades and the considerable centrifugal loads at the same time.
The radial application of the blades in the outermost rings allows the blades to be given a sufficient length without difficulty.
The innovation, which is to be attached to radial double rotary turbines, is of particular importance for this, because the steam from the blades in the outermost
Divide rings of the radial system into two streams and let each stream work on its axial system h. As a result, each blade in the axial system h can be selected to be half as long as in a single rotary turbine.
As can be seen from the drawing, the line in system h is fixed, whereas the raceway is movable.
The axial system can of course also be arranged on just one of the two turbine disks.
