Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Process for degassing liquids to be distilled, especially additional feed water for steam boilers.

   It is known to preheat the feed water under atmospheric pressure before it evaporates. In this case, however, only a small part of the gases or air contained in the water escape, so that the water subsequently transferred to the evaporator still contains air, which reaches the condenser with the steam, considerably reducing the effect of the latter.

   The object of the invention aims to remedy this inconvenience, in such a way that the preheating of the water accomplished before the evaporation process is carried out under vacuum at almost the boiling point of the same and the air that separates out of the water is removed so that the water that has already been deaerated into the Evaporator arrives and therefore only water vapor enters the condenser.

   In the drawing, the device used for carrying out the method is shown schematically in section in an exemplary embodiment.

   The water to be treated passes through the pipe ft in the direction of the arrow in a preheater and flows through z. B. the snake tube located in this. This opens into a chamber under vacuum. This ensures that the water releases the dissolved gases in accordance with its higher temperature and the vacuum tension prevailing in the chamber, which gases are sucked out through the pipe d by an air pump.

   The water preheated and degassed in this way passes through the pipe e, which is arranged, for example, within the preheater b, and through the connecting pipe @ 'into the evaporator /, where it is pre-vaporized at the same vacuum voltage. The evaporator and preheater are heated by means of the steam supplied through the pipe g. The vapor formed in the evaporator is fed into the condenser /. In this way, the water that has been entrained is withdrawn from it in the water separator ", which is returned to the lower chamber of the evaporator via the pipe q '. The sludge water that collects in the latter is passed through the pipe q into a sludge water container @.

     The condenser; By means of the underpressure prevailing in it, the injection water required for condensation is sucked in by means of pipe 1 from an injection water tank, to which the condensate of the turbine steam flows. The condensate, which is now completely degassed and cleaned, falls from the condenser through the downpipe into the pure water holder, to which the excess water from the tank also flows through the pipe o. The condensate of the heating steam in the preheater and evaporator also reaches the pure water tank p through pipes s and s'.

   In order to be able to suck off the gases and vapors that get into the condenser with the injection water, the condenser is connected to the upper space of the preheater and therefore to the suction pipe by means of the pipe k, with the interposition of a non-return device.
