Ziehen beider Seilenden 7 bewirkt.

Locking and release device for belt return bars driven by a cable.
When moving the drive belts to stepped and pulleys in machine shops, it is not uncommon for the belt support rods to start moving due to operations or constant vibrations and the drive belts are then taken along again by the belt fork. If this suddenly puts a machine into operation at an inopportune time, very serious accidents can result. It is therefore an undeniable advantage if the belt back rods can be locked automatically.
The subject matter of the present invention is such a locking and release device for belt back bars, with which an automatic release of the lock is completely excluded.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely FIGS. 1 and 2 show the device fully installed under a stern disk, FIGS. 3 to 7 show details in section and view.
The device essentially consists of the push rod 1, the gear 2, the pulley 3, the tilting bearing 4 and the double lever 5.
The mode of operation is as follows: The finished device is attached in a known manner under the intermediate gear or the stepped pulley. The prongs 6 encompass the belt like a fork. So that the push rod itself cannot become detached by the impact of the company and thereby throw off the belt, a pointed bolt lock is arranged at one end of the rod. The push rod is guided in the bearings 8. One side of one bearing is pierced in the lock at 9 and here the pointed bolt 10 hits the punch mark 11 of the push rod 1. The securing is released by actuating the double lever 5, the pivot point of which is located at 12 Pointed bolt 10 sits the spring 13.
If the double lever 5 is now pressed down with the end 14, then the wedge 15, which sits at the other end of the double lever, moves. under the head of the bolt 10 upwards and by means of its inclined plane pushes the pointed bolt 10 out of the punch mark 11. The push rod 1 is thus unlocked. The downward movement of the lever end 14 is by simultaneous

As the push rod 1 continues to move by means of the toothed drive, the prongs 6 of the belt fork press on the drive belt 21.

By alternately actuating the rope 7, there is thus the possibility of moving the belts of the step rows easily and quickly from one step to another.
