HAUBERT PLATZ IN WUNSTORF (DEUTSCHES REICH).

Connection piece between rod and chisel for eanadic drilling.

In the case of chisel bores, spacers are used between the rod and the drill so that the vibrations that occur when the chisel hits the bottom of the borehole are not transmitted to the rod. As such, the Canadian slide scissors and the free fall scissors are mainly used. Only in the case of bores with a small stroke (80-150 mm) was the use of spacers dispensed with,

scissors operated offers a number of different drilling systems. Advantages not to be discussed here, while a disadvantage is that it has so far not been possible to combine the advantages of the water-flushing holes with those of the Canadian method.

The reason for this not being successful is that the construction of an intermediate piece for water flushing, which corresponds to the Canadian sliding shear, was not known so far, offering sufficient simplicity and operational reliability. Such a simple construction now forms the subject of the present invention. It should be made possible by the same the use of the water flush in the Canadian drilling system.

The accompanying drawing illustrates the subject of the application in longitudinal section and in cross section.

A square rod b with rounded corners is screwed to the hollow, iron rod, which ends in a piston a at the bottom. The piston a moves in a tube c, into which the square rod b passes through the stuffing box d is inserted through the piston and the square rod are drilled lengthways and at the lower end is the tube f through the piece e, to which further Bohrbär and
