Fig. 2 zeigt das Schaltungsschema des Nebenstromkreises.

X-ray instruments for X-ray tubes with heating or measuring electrodes.

The invention relates to an instrument set for operating X-ray tubes with heating or auxiliary electrodes from an alternating or three-phase current source. A transformer, which is fed from the same alternating current source as the high-voltage transformer supplying the tube current, is used to feed the secondary electrode. However, since the alternating current sources, as they are commonly available, are not sufficiently constant, such systems have the disadvantage that the heating current for the glow electrode and thus also the intensity of the X-rays undergo strong vibrations.
 EMI1.1

This disadvantage is avoided according to the invention in that the alternating current transformer used to feed the heating or secondary electrode is not connected directly to the alternating current source, but to a second transformer with highly saturated iron, the primary winding of which is conveniently connected to the alternating current source with a resistor connected upstream. This additional transformer is arranged in, on or on the container holding the instruments. The heating or auxiliary current is regulated by a variable resistor provided on the low-voltage side of the transformer connected to the heating electrode.

The constancy of the strength of the heating or secondary current achieved with the aid of the additional transformer is such that a special measuring instrument for this circuit is unnecessary, rather a scale attached to the control resistor is sufficient.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in FIG. Fig. 2 shows the circuit diagram of the auxiliary circuit. A high-voltage rectifier set of instruments has been selected. In the cabinet S, a high-voltage transformer T intended for the supply of the X-ray current and a high-voltage rectifier G driven by a synchronous motor or single-armature converter M are provided, whose diametrically opposite contact arcs k are paired with the two high-voltage terminals of the transformer T or the connecting lines a for a Coolidge- X-ray tube R are connected.

Also inside the cabinet is still

seen, the secondary winding s1 of which is arranged on an insulating tube i pushed over the primary winding for the maximum tube voltage against the primary winding and the

The instruments can also be used to operate two X-ray tubes at the same time. that they light up alternately, in this case two transformers t1 must be used.
