   Bei Nassluftpumpen der bekannten Art kann im Pumpenzylinder beim   Hochgang   des Kolbens ein Druck erzeugt werden, der gleich ist dem Kondensatordruck   p abzüglich   der   p # h # r Wassersäule h und dem Ventilwiderstand r. Das Verhältnis---gibt die mögliche   Luftleere an. 



   Nach der Erfindung werden derartige Nassluftpumpen dadurch verbessert, dass im Pumpenzylinder oberhalb des höchsten bei gewöhnlicher Fördermenge erreichten Wasserspiegels von Hilfssangventilen beherrschte Lufteintrittsöffnungen vorgesehen sind. Hiedurch wird die Luftleere unabhängig von der Höhe der Wassersäule. 



   Eine Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist in der Zeichnung schematisch dargestellt. 



   Der Pumpzylinder a ist unten in bekannter Weise mit den Saugventilen b versehen,   durch   die das Wasser vom Kondensator her durch die Leitung c eintritt. d sind die im   liolhen   und e die im oberen Zylinderdeckel angeordneten Druckventile. 



   Nach der Erfindung sind nun oberhalb des höchsten bei gewöhnlicher Fördermenge erreichten Wasserspiegels Öffnungen f in der Zylinderwand angeordnet, die durch Hilfs-   saug ventile 9   gegen die Wasserzuleitung c abgeschlossen sind. 



   Die Wirkung der Pumpe ist derart, dass bei der   Aufwärtsbewegung   des Kolbens zunächst durch die Saugventile b das Wasser in die Pumpe eintritt. Sobald beim weiteren Aufwärtsgang der Kolben die Öffnungen f freigibt, tritt Luft durch die Saugventile   9   und die   Öffnungen   f in den Zylinder ein. Die Höhe der Wassersäule ist nunmehr auf die
