EMI1.1
It is known that conveying by suction air requires movement of relatively large air masses under a corresponding negative pressure. In order to achieve this, it is necessary that the air pumps used for this purpose work precisely because, given the large dimensions of these machines, leaks very quickly reduce the efficiency considerably. to press. In particular, the large numbers of valves require constant maintenance and supervision. It is therefore advantageous to set up the entire pump construction in such a way that the valves are quickly and completely accessible at any time, so that one can convince oneself that they are in order and that faulty ones can be replaced.
This purpose is to be met by the invention in that, on the one hand, the cover of the pump cylinder is made easily detachable and hung in such a way that both covers can be opened and closed quickly at any time, and furthermore by the fact that of the suction and Pressure valves of one part, namely usually the pressure valves, are arranged on a separate part of the floor which can be detached itself.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in longitudinal section and cross section in FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing.
The pump cylinder a, in which the pump piston b moves, has the cast-on channels c and d on both sides, of which the former serves as a suction channel, while the latter diverts the pumped air away again. The cylinder covers E, E are airtight at the top and bottom of the cylinder a. They are manufactured in such a way that they both form the actual cylinder covers e and at the same time connect the channels c and d with the two cylinder ends. The cylinder cover J? Is on each cylinder end. divided into two parts by an intermediate web f and from these the part e1 containing the pressure valves is made detachable.
Since both cylinder lids E are naturally quite extensive pieces that are difficult to handle, in order to make them easy to use, the following
