Das Schaltrad 17 dreht sich sohin im Sinne des Pfeiles der Fig. 1, wobei der nächstfolgende Zahn an den Anschlag 11 anstösst und der Träger 13 unter Anspannen der Feder 15 in die in Fig. 1 gezeichnete Stellung zurückgeführt wird.
Hiedurch wirkt das Schloss als Sperrvorrichtung derart, dass das Schaltrad 17 dich bei jedem Tastenanschlag stets nur um einen Zahn weiterdrehen kann und der Papierwagen einen gleichmässigen Vorschub erhält. Soll der Papierwagen von Hand aus um ein grösseres Stück verstellt werden, so wird der Bügel 4 von Hand aus am Arme 8 derart eingestellt, dass der Anschlag 11 bei seiner Bewegung von dem Träger 13 weg, die entgegen der Pfeilrichtung nach Fig. 1 sich bewegenden Zähne des Schaltrades 17 frei durchlässt. Die Feder 16 bringt den Anschlag 11 stets wieder zur Anlage an den Träger 13.
