Striking mechanism with two or more striking levers rotatably arranged on a rotating disc on fixed pins.
EMI1.1
is shown in two embodiments in a schematic manner.
The embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2 will first be described.
A disk a, which can be designed as a gear wheel or worm wheel, carries two or more hammer levers b shaped according to the spatial conditions. The hammer levers b are rotatably mounted on fixed pivot points c on the disk a.
The essence of the invention is that the hammer levers b are directly connected to one another in the manner of a joint by a connecting piece d, so that every movement of one lever also brings about a movement of the other. Such connecting pieces are known per se in striking mechanisms. However, in these known hammer mechanisms with a connecting piece, the axis of rotation r of the hammer is not fixed to the disc, as is the case here, but movable in the Bo gene.
The impact effect is in a manner known per se by rotating the disk a

The purpose of the described arrangement is that you can with each
EMI1.3
If, for example, the connecting piece d, as in known hammer mechanisms, were missing and the hammer b would then move into the hammering position as a result of centrifugal force, the rotational speed of the disk a would always have to be so great that the hammer b in the hammering position would already be during one Rotation of the disk a takes place when a continuous, even beating is to be achieved.
Furthermore, if the rocker arms are given a large throw and the hammer mechanism is used in a vertical position, so that the hammer levers have to work from bottom to top, then gravity has a reducing effect on the centrifugal force. The impact effect is completely different in this case, a) s when the Sehlaghebei move b in the horizontal direction. But if the initial speed of the disk a were chosen to be very high, it would be necessary to adjust the outwardly directed loading

as already mentioned, independent of the speed and the position of the striking mechanism.
The arrangement achieves a significant advantage. that when striking

EMI2.1
As shown, for example, an elliptical one, it is possible, by means of a roller h mounted in the frame of the striking mechanism and displaceable by known means, to bring the connecting piece d into such a position during the rotation of the entire device that the hammer slide past the bolt 9 is effected, the impact effect is canceled (Fig. 4). In order to keep the control roller constantly in its respective position, the movement means required for moving the roller must be self-locking.
The arrangement and the shape of the connecting piece d in connection with a displaceable roller h allows the striking mechanism described above to switch the striking effect on or off at will.
For this purpose, the rollers h can simply be fixed at the desired location or they can also be connected to a push-in and push-on device.
