Der Antrieb der Stichbildungsorgane, der jedoch keinen Teil der Erfindung bildet, wird in dem Ausführujigsbeispiel dadurch von dem Hebel b abgeleitet, dass an dessen innerem Arm 9 der um den Zapfen 7 drehbare Lenker 8 angreift, der in seiner Bewegung durch die Kurve 9 gesteuert wird. Der untere, mit der Nadel it zusammenarbeitende Schleifenfänger 10 wird durch eine hin und her bewegte Zahnstange 11 angetrieben, die mit dem Lenker 8 gekuppelt ist.
Angenommen, der Hebel b befindet sich in der in Fig. l gezeigten Stellung, so wird bei seiner mittels des Handhebels s bewirkten Abwärtsbewegung durch die auf den Doppelhebel s einwirkende K) inke v zunäelhst der Stoffdrücker os solange angehoben, bis die unter der Ein- wirkung der Feder y stehende Klinke v von der Warze x an den daber gedrehten Doppelhebel s abzugleiten vermag.
