Bei allen diesen bekannten Schmiermitteln wird der Draht auf seiner Oberfläche nicht gleichmässig benetzt und deshalb die Reibung in der Ziehdüse nicht an allen SteUen des Umfanges in gleichem Masse herabgemindert. Dieser überstand führt zu einem raschen Unrundwerden des Ziehloches und damit zu nicht kreisförmigen Drahtquerschnitten, häufig auch zum Unbrauchbarwerden der Düse.
Durch das den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung hildende Verfahren wird auf den Draht vor seinem Eintritt in die Ziehdiise das Schmiermittel in durchaus gteichmäSig dicker Schicht aufpräpariert.
