So könnten im Innern des Mauerwerks in dessen Längsrichtung verlaufende wagerechte oder etwas geneigte Kanäle angeordnet werden, deren eines Ende durch einen schräg aufwärtsgerichteten und deren anderes Ende durch einen   schräg   abwärtsgerichteten Kanal oder eine Anzahl solcher Kanäle mit der Aussenluft in Verbindung gebracht werden, wodurch grosse Mauerkomplexe mit verhältnismässig einfachen Mitteln wirksam getrocknet bzw. trocken erhalten werden können. Selbstverständlich wird man soviele derartige Kanalsysteme anordnen, als zu einer vollkommenen Trocknung erforderlich sind. 



   Um die Wirkung derartiger Kanalsysteme zu erhöhen, können die Kanalquerschnitte derart ausgebildet werden, dass sie bei   verhältnismässig   kleinem Inhalt einen grossen Umfang haben. So können z. B.   sternförmige   oder ähnlich geformte Querschnitte mit Vorteil angewendet werden, wobei die Kanäle aus rohem porösen Material gebildet werden, die in das Mauerwerk eingebaut werden. Die z ; lm Feuchtigkeitsaustausch bestimmten Flächen werden durch derartige Querschnittsformen der Kanäle bedeutend vergrössert.
