  Abhorchvorrichtung für Wasser-oder dgl. Rohrleitungen.

 EMI1.2
zu untersuchende Leitung lose aufgesetzt wird.

Listening device for water or similar pipelines.

Devices for eavesdropping on water pipes or similar pipes are already known, by means of which it can be determined whether a tap has been left open, a pipe has broken, etc. However, these known devices have the disadvantage that the body that conducts sound in the event of water damage becomes fixed is connected to the pipeline and passed through masonry, so that eavesdropping is only possible at certain points.
 EMI1.1
According to the invention, the sound conductor formed by a rod-shaped body is firmly connected to the membrane or to the earpiece and the free end of the sound conductor is loosely placed on the line to be examined.

This configuration of the eavesdropping device now has the advantage that the pipeline can be examined at any point, which enables a completely precise determination of the location of the water damage.

In a further embodiment of the inventive concept, the sound conductor is formed by a wire or the like enclosed in a tube, which is directly connected on the one hand to the membrane itself and on the other hand to a cap closing the tube carrying the membrane.

In order to prevent any electricity that may be present in the pipeline from being discharged to the person examining the pipeline, the cap closing the pipe can, according to the invention, consist of insulating material.

In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment. The sound conductor 1 formed from wire, a string or some other material is on the one hand with a membrane 2, on the other hand with a cap-Y covering the tube J
 EMI1.2
line to be examined is loosely attached.
