   Bei Filzwickelwalzen mit   schraubenförmig   umwickelten Filzstreifen macht sich der Übelstand bemerkbar, dass beim Zusammenpressen, namentlich bei hohem Druck, die einzelnen Windungen das Bestreben haben, sich vom Walzenkern abzuheben. 



   Um diesem   Übelstande   abzuhelfen, werden nach der neuen Erfindung an den Aussenseiten der beiden Enden des   U-förmig   gebogenen Filzstreifens F besondere, oberhalb der Wickelschnur endende Filzstreifen 8 angebracht. Hiebei befindet sich in der Wicklung aussen mehr Filzmaterial als innen am Kern. Der Pressdruck wirkt daher zunächst nur aussen, und erst nachdem die breitere Aussenwand stark   zusammengepresst   ist, wirkt der Pressdruck auf die Innenlage, welche nunmehr nicht mehr nach aussen gehen kann, sondern mit der Wickelschnur fest an den Walzenkern W   gedrückt   wird. Auf diese Weise ist es möglich, eine starke Pressung auf die Filzstreifen auszuüben, ohne dass sie sich von dem Kern abheben.
