Backenbremse.

Shoe brake.
The invention relates to a shoe brake with shoes articulated to the machine frame and held out of engagement with the brake disc by springs, the brake pressure of which is changed. the lever ratios is changed, In the known brakes of this type, an intermediate lever is switched into the pull rod, on which the one point of application of the rod is shifted for changing the lever ratios.
Compared to this known device, the innovation of the invention consists essentially

gear are rotatably arranged, which forms an embodiment of the elliptical-hyperbolic joint quadrilateral and moved by the short crank 13, 14 wu. d.
In the drawing, the innovation is shown in an exemplary embodiment on a threshing machine. 1 shows a side view of the device in the operating position, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a side view in the braked state, and FIG. 4 shows a front view of FIG. 1.
The brake shoes 1, 1 'are mounted on the machine frame so that they can swing around bolts 2, 2', which at the front end carry two rails 3 held at a distance. The brake levers 4, 4 ′ are rotatably mounted between these at point 13 and 12, respectively.
The brake levers each carry a pressure roller 5 at the lower end, which rest on the back of the brake shoes 1. The lever 4 'is extended in the shape of a knee beyond the pivot point of the roller s and is connected in an articulated manner to the point 14 of the upper leg of the double-armed lever 4 by a pull lever 6 acting in FIG. This creates a crank mechanism

The mode of action is as follows:
EMI1.4
As a result of the proposed lever arrangement, the effect is sudden and the
The machine stops immediately after lever 7 is pulled.
Several pull levers 7 ′ can be provided at different points at the same time.
Instead of letting the pressure rollers roll on the back of the brake shoes, as shown, they can also engage in a slot in the shoes.
