Device for pressing soles to be attached to the shoe by means of adhesive.

Recently, the soling of shoes has often been done by gluing the soles on.

The roughened sole near the edge is pressed onto the surface to be soled, which is also roughened on the edge, after the roughened areas have been coated with adhesive beforehand. A strong and sustained pressure is necessary for the compression. For frame footwear, clamps that span the edge have already been proposed for this purpose.

However, it is extremely difficult to put on individual clamps without shifting and loosening the sole, because the clamps can only be attached one after the other. In addition, the clamps are unable to follow the shape of the sole and interfere with one another, especially where the sole has very sharp curves.

According to the invention, the clamps are now stepped widthwise according to the shape of the sole and are combined to form a chain by means of mutually displaceable links. In this way, it is possible to push all clamps over the edge of the shoe sole with one hand movement at the same time, whereby the clamps, following the shape of the sole, lie next to each other with their clamping surfaces. For even clamping, it is necessary that the clamping jaws are directed exactly parallel to the soleplate.

This is achieved in that the clamps are formed from two separate plates, which are repeated at one end by the clamping screws and at the other end by the distance between the plates

 shown in Figs.

The shoe A, which is shown in Fig. 1 in a vertical cross section and in Fig. 2 in a top view, is to be connected to a sole B by gluing. The device used for this consists of a series of clamps, each of which consists of two independent ones

links in the chain remain free.

PATENT CLAIMS: l. Device for pressing soles to be fastened to the shoe by means of adhesive, characterized in that the clamps, which are graded according to the width of the sole shape, are combined into a chain by means of adjustable links.
