<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The present invention relates to a tent, in particular a folding tent with several legs.
With tents in general and folding tents in particular, it is known to increase the
Stability between the legs to tighten straps or ropes. However, belts and ropes can only absorb tensile forces and thus only a part of the stresses.
The object of the invention is to create a time that is characterized by high mechanical stability.
This is achieved according to the invention in that at least one diagonally extending, telescopic additional strut is arranged between at least two legs.
The additional struts provided according to the invention can absorb not only tensile but also compressive forces and thus significantly increase the stability of the tent according to the invention. Due to its telescopic properties, the additional strut can be adapted to the distance between the legs between which it runs. The telescopic connection can then be fixed - for example with clamps, screws, clamping screws or a snap-in connection.
For an even higher stability, it is advantageous if two crossing struts are arranged between two legs.
It is also advantageous if the intersecting additional struts are connected to one another, preferably in an articulated manner.
For optimal adjustment, especially when the tent is set up on an uneven surface, it is advantageous if the additional struts can be telescoped independently of each other at both ends.
For better adaptability of the additional struts to the spacing of the standing legs, it is particularly advantageous if the additional strut (s) is (are) connected to the standing legs at both ends, preferably in an articulated manner.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention it is provided that the tent has horizontal struts. In this case it makes sense that at least one
Additional strut at least one - preferably both - end (s) - preferably articulated - is connected to a horizontal strut. The additional struts do not necessarily have to be connected to the pillars between which they run.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention it is provided that the horizontal struts are connected to the supporting legs via separate connecting pieces. In this case, it is advantageous that at least one
Additional strut on at least one - preferably both - end (s) - preferably articulated - is connected to the separate connecting pieces.
If articulated connections are provided, this is particularly advantageous
Swivel joints or flexible joints.
The additional struts can consist, for example, of aluminum, steel or plastic. These materials are characterized by a relatively low weight with high mechanical stability. The dead weight of the additional struts can be further reduced by designing the struts as tubes.
The additional struts are advantageously shaped tubes with a polygonal - preferably triangular, square or rectangular - or round profile cross section.
To further increase the mechanical stability of the additional struts themselves, it can be provided in a further embodiment of the invention that reinforcing ribs or webs are arranged on the inside and / or the outside of at least one additional strut.
Further advantages and details of the invention emerge from FIGS. 1 to 6 and the associated description of the figures.

1 shows a schematic perspective view of a tent with a plurality of vertical legs 1 and a roof structure 4. The additional struts 2 according to the invention, which run diagonally between two legs 1 and which are articulated 3 in this exemplary embodiment, can be seen. Each individual additional strut 2 can be telescoped independently of one another at its two ends 2a. The ends 2a of the additional struts 2 can thus be extended and inserted independently of one another from the central part of the additional struts 2. A locking device, not shown, allows the extended ends 2a to be fixed in any position, so that the additional struts 2 can absorb both compressive and tensile forces.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the additional struts 2 are articulated to brackets 5 at the upper and lower ends of the legs 1. In principle, the tabs 5 can be attached at any position on the supporting leg 1. It goes without saying that 1 additional struts 2 can also be provided between the other pillars.
Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment of a tent according to the invention, which has horizontal struts 6, which are connected to the vertical legs 1 via separately designed connecting pieces 7. In this case, the articulated connection 5 of the

Additional struts 2 take place directly on the separate connecting pieces 7. However, a connection to the legs 1 can also be provided.
As FIG. 3 shows, it is a further exemplary embodiment of an inventive one
It is also possible to connect the additional struts 2 with one end 2a with a horizontal strut 6 in an articulated manner 5 and with their other 2a with a vertical supporting leg 1 in an articulated manner 5. This is particularly useful if only in the

Additional struts 2 can also be connected with their lower ends 2a to a horizontal strut 6.
FIG. 4 shows in detail a possible connection form of the end 2a of an additional strut 2 with a vertical supporting leg 1. In this exemplary embodiment, the articulated connection 5 is a flexible joint, which has a preferred bending axis due to a cross-sectional weakening.
5 also shows in detail a further embodiment of an articulated connection 5 of the end 2a of an additional strut 2 with a vertical support leg 1, the connection being made in this case by means of a screw 8.
FIG. 6 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a possible connection of the ends 2a of the additional strut 2, the connection in this case being a snap-in connection which can be operated via a push button 9. Also recognizable are a plurality of, for example, by drilling, predetermined locking positions 10 on the vertical pillar 1.
Fig. 7 shows a schematic perspective view of a time designed as a folding tent with several legs 1 and a gable construction 11, which are also shown in an enlarged view. Two articulated 3 additional struts 2 according to the invention can also be seen, wherein these additional struts 2 can of course also be provided between all the main legs 1.
The connection forms shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 can of course also be provided when the additional struts 2 are attached to any horizontal struts 6 or separate connecting pieces 7 that may be present.
