EMI1.1

EMI1.1
In the case of the previously known drum roughing machines with line and counter-line rollers, there is the disadvantage that a change in the rotational speed for the roughing rollers by shifting the belt on the cones used for this speed change is in most cases only possible within relatively small limits and that in order to avoid the driving force To give conical shafts a different number of revolutions, which is known to be annoying and time-consuming disc change required.
According to the present invention, the cones used to change the rotational speed of the rough rollers are not driven directly by the axis of the drum, but with the interposition of a transmission gear, in such a way that the conical drive can be used to drive any rotational speeds for the rough rollers, in particular the roller speed required for the felting effect , and that can be controlled as required.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing.
FIG. 1 shows the side view and FIG. 2 the plan view of a drum raising machine set up according to the invention.
On the shafts a, b driven by the axis of the main cylinder, the drive disks 0 and d and further gears e and f are arranged displaceably on shaft a and b by means of a tongue and groove on their ends. These gears e and f are each guided on both sides in a lever 9 or A and can, with the mediation of the same

the drive shafts l and m are given the desired number of revolutions, so that afterwards the speed of the cones can be changed not only by shifting the belt, but also as a result of the action of the mentioned intermediate gears.
One of the gears ml, M. is dimensioned in such a way that, when this provides the drive, the roughing rollers receive a speed that no longer roughs, but rather, in conjunction with the counter-coating rollers, has a matting effect on the roughing pile
As can be seen, this type of speed change eliminates the need to replace the cones, as the cones are also used for changing the for the

The disadvantage is that it can only be engaged when the cones are affected.
