Schraubenantrieb für Fahrzeuge.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Propellerantrieb für Land-, Wasser-oder Luftfahrzeuge, der infolge intermittierender Wirkung durch Aufspeicherung der von der Kraftmaschine und Schraube entwickelten Zugenergie es ermöglicht, dass dauernde oder vorüber- gehende Widerstände überwunden werden, die wegen Ihrer Grösse ohne Aufspeicherung der Energie das Fahrzeug zum Stehen bringen würden. Dieser Effekt wird dadurch erreicht, dass die Propellerwelle in ihrer Längsachse verschiebbar ist und mit an einem Kranz sitzenden Zähnen versehen ist, welche mit ihren Spitzen auf die Spitzen entsprechender Zähne am Fahrzeugrahmen eine Schlagwirkung ausüben und so auf letzteren die Zugkraft der Schraube übertragen.
Auf der Zeichnung ist eine der möglichen vielen Ausführungsformen des Erfindung8gegenstandes dargestellt. A ist die die Schraube C und das Schwungrad D tragende, im Fahrzeugrahmen B verschiebbare Schraubenelle, die von der Kraftmaschine G angetrieben wird. Ein auf der Schraubenwelle festsitzender Kranz E besitzt abgeschrägte Zähne, die mit gleichgeformten Zähnen eines am Fahrgestell befestigten Kranzes F in Berührung kommen* können.
Die Zähne wirken nur mit einem kleinen Teil ihrer Fläche, kurz gesagt ihren Spitzen. und kann die Einrichtung so getroffen sein, dass bei normaler Belastung der übliche Antrieb verwendet und der Zahnkranz E nur im Bedarfsfalle zur Wirkung gebracht wird.
Zu diesem Zwecke kann das Stirnlager, gegen das die Propellerwelle mit einem Bund oder Kamm anliegt, verschiebbar gemacht werden, um eine Bewegung der Welle gegen den Teil F zu ermöglichen.
Die in der Propellerwelle in dem Zeitintervall zwischen den Berührungsmomenten der einzelnen Spitzen der Teile E, F aufgespeicherte Energie it genügend gross, um aussergewöhnliche Widerstände zu überwinden.

The subject of the invention is a propeller drive for land, water or air vehicles, which, as a result of intermittent action by accumulating the tensile energy developed by the engine and screw, enables permanent or temporary resistances to be overcome, which due to their size without accumulating the energy would bring the vehicle to a stop. This effect is achieved in that the propeller shaft is displaceable in its longitudinal axis and is provided with teeth sitting on a rim, which with their tips exert an impact effect on the tips of corresponding teeth on the vehicle frame and thus transmit the tensile force of the screw to the latter.
The drawing shows one of the many possible embodiments of the subject matter of the invention. A is the screw shaft which carries the screw C and the flywheel D and is displaceable in the vehicle frame B and is driven by the engine G. A ring E that is fixed on the screw shaft has beveled teeth which can come into contact * with the same-shaped teeth of a ring F attached to the chassis.
The teeth only work with a small part of their surface, in short their tips. and the device can be made in such a way that the usual drive is used under normal load and the ring gear E is only brought into effect when necessary.
For this purpose, the end bearing, against which the propeller shaft rests with a collar or ridge, can be made displaceable in order to enable movement of the shaft against part F.
