   Es ist bekannt, dass zum Füttern von Kleidungsstücken Wattelagen verwendet werden. die, um ein festeres Zusammenhalten zu sichern. gesteppt sind.    Diesen   Übelständen abzuhelfen   ist der Zweck der vorliegenden Erfindung. Danach wird das Wattefliess auf einer Seite appretiert bzw. mit einer klebestoffähnlichen Flüssigkeit getränkt und hierauf zwischen Walzen unter leichtem Druck geleitet, von weichen die auf der appretierten Seite des Fliesses arbeitende Walze mit erhabenen und vertieften Musterungen versehen ist, die sich auf die appretierte und durch den Druck als homogene Schichte darbietende Seite des Fliesses übertragen. Der andere Teil des Fliesses behält den atte-   gleichen Charakter hei, so daH   das fertige Produkt zugleich durch festen   Zusammenhalt   leicht bearbeitungsfähig ist und der Form und   Fattengebung   den   genngsten   Widerstand entgegensetzt. 



   Nach dem Durchziehen des Wattefliesses durch die Walzen wird dasselbe getrocknet und ist zum Gebrauche fertig.
