Alarmthermometer.

Alarm thermometer.
The invention relates to an embodiment of the thermometer protected by patent no. 58033, which differs from the embodiment described there in that the current connection pieces and the scale used for their adjustment are arranged on the same side of the pivot point of the contact lever as the adjustment of the latter effecting thermometer itself. On the one hand, this embodiment offers the advantage of taking up considerably less space (width) because one arm of the contact lever can be omitted, and on the other hand the advantage that the setting scale for the current connection pieces runs in the same direction (increases or decreases) as the thermometer skata itself and thus both scales can easily be replaced by a single, common one.
The new embodiment of the thermometer is shown in the drawing.
The same thing consists, like Bach of the parent patent, of the thermometer a curved in a circular arc with the floating body d carried by the mercury column and the lever b which is rotatable in the center of curvature of the thermometer tube and which ends in a tip that moves against the floating body d. According to the present embodiment, the lever b has only one arm, but is balanced by a counterweight s in order to increase the sensitivity.
EMI1.1
and the minimum temperature enabling scale f are moved in this embodiment to the same side of the pivot point of the lever on which the thermometer a sIch 1) 0- is and the scale f runs in an arc concentric to the latter.
By moving the setting tube for the current connection pieces close to the thermometer itself, you are able to use a common scale for both parts (thermometer and current connection pieces).
It does not matter whether the lever b itself serves as a current conductor or whether it only forms the carrier for a current connection piece, in which latter case the setting contacts g connected to d) n current source. h, however, would have to be provided twice. The construction described also allows the current connection pieces g and h to be adjusted directly on the thermometer tube without a special guide track and scale.
