Contact device, especially for induction furnaces.
Contacts for larger currents, the mutual position of which is subject to greater shifts due to the nature of the operation, such as B. in high-frequency ovens, require special training. According to the present invention, the object is achieved in such a way that the supply rails a are provided at their resilient ends with non-oxidizing or poorly oxidizing, rod-shaped, in particular cylindrical, partially embedded contacts b, which have similar, rigid, counter-contacts arranged almost at right angles to them d work together, so that mutual contact is guaranteed even with relatively large spatial shifts.
The ends of the laminated power supply rails a are arranged in a cantilevered manner and are connected to non-oxidizing or visually oxidizing contacts b, e.g. B. made of fine silver, equipped in a special way, expedient by lying cylindrical contacts about halfway embedded in the ends of the power supply rails and soldered to them. The rigid mating contacts c are provided in the same way, but with fine silver contacts d rotated by 90, so that the contacts always touch one another at one point on the cylinder surfaces, even in the case of larger displacements. The contact carriers c are stepped in their position and fastened and soldered in a plate e by means of screws f.
In order to avoid bending stresses in the fastening parts, the contact rails are bent back in a U-shape so that the contacts lie directly above the support insulators 9. If necessary, the resilient rail ends can also be supported by external springs h and caught by stops k or screws i.
The specified contact device enables mutual displacement of the contacts in all directions, so that the power supply to the furnace winding is reliably guaranteed even in rough operation, even if the crucible continues to lower or move over time.
