Light sensitive tents with electrodes made of aluminum and acetone as electrolytes.
Photosensitive cells as such are known; Also, in these cells, halogen salts have already been used for the electrolyte and, in particular, selenium and aluminum in plate form and acetone as electrolytes as electrode material. The invention relates to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the light-sensitive cell, namely the following:
The electrolyte used is acetone, and electrodes are a bare aluminum plate and an aluminum plate which is coated with a gold selenium alloy. To produce this plate, the aluminum plate is coated with melting selenium and then heated several times to over 2000, until the selenium changes into the crystalline modification, which is then. recognizes by the silver-gray color.
The plate is then allowed to cool down to about 90 "and then a thin layer of gold, e.g. real gold leaf, is placed on it. Now it is again carefully heated to about 170t. The color of the plate is now golden and shiny brass-like.
They are used in such a way that the cell is exposed to radiation, which causes a chemical reaction that is frequent when the cell is closed and the exposure is stopped, and thus generates electrical current. The cell can be used technically in distance photography because the chemical conversions of the light intensity and duration of exposure are proportional or approximately proportional. The image is broken down into strips or lines in a known manner and the individual strips are illuminated step by step so that the illumination of the plate corresponds to the respective degree of brightness of the effective point on the image surface.
