Control for the air cylinder of automatic rotating bottle filler.
The subject of the invention is the new arrangement or design of the control element for the air cylinders of automatically rotating bottle fillers. The task of the air cylinders here is to lift the bottles resting on the plates to the actual filling heads of the machine and to bring them down again from there. The cylinders are operated by compressed air and they must be equipped with control devices that are operated periodically when the machine table rotates.
The invention consists in that the control members of the air cylinders are formed by facing rotary slides which are attached to the outside of the air cylinders and are equipped with arms for operation through fixed stops on the frame. In addition to structural simplicity and easy accessibility, the new control has the particular advantage that there is no need for a housing and thus a stuffing box leading to the outside.
The invention is illustrated by way of example in the drawing.
The rotary valve A operates the fixed part B of the control element, which is located around the air cylinder Z. A spring o. Which rests on the slide plate A, presses it elastically against the mirror of the body B, whereby screw nuts m, m adjust the support washer n for the spring, in order to regulate the tension of the spring o. Channels c, c of the slide A make the suitable connections with the channels /, y, A of the housing B in order to connect both or possibly only one of the two piston sides alternately with the compressed air line or with the open air. A pin e is used to limit the rotary movement of the slide by engaging in a slot d.
The compressed air enters the Schlebergel hanger through line o. The lines pn, b establish the connection with the two piston tips. One of these lines can be omitted if the piston is only to be steered upwards while the downward movement is assigned to gravity.
The rotation of the slide A is caused by the arms k striking against it. k produced against stops l of the frame.
