Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung an Tabakspfeifen, durch welche der Rauchzug geregelt und ein Verstopfen des Halses vermieden wird.
Es ist bereits ein Verschluss an Tabakspfeifendeckeln bekannt geworden, welcher durch an einem Ringe drehbar befestigte gebogene Lamellen gebildet ist, mittels deren man den Pfeifenkopf teilweise überdecken und dadurch die Luftzufuhr zum Pfeifenkopf regeln kann.
Gemäss der Erfindung soll nun eine Irisblende oder dgl. zwischen Pfeifenkopf und Pfeifenhals am Rauchabzuge eingeschaltet werden. Durch die Einschaltung der den Rauchzug regelnden Irisblende gerade zwischen Hals und Kopf der Pfeife wird der Vorteil erreicht, dass die sich am unteren Ende des Pfeifenkopfes bildende Aschenkruste jederzeit entfernt werden kann, ohne dass hiezu ein besonderes Instrument benötigt wird und so ein Verstopfen des Pfeifenhalses vermieden wird. Der Kopf und der Hals der Pfeife gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung sind fest, aber drehbar und lösbar miteinander verbunden, so dass die Asche leicht entfernt werden kann, da sie durchfällt.
Gemäss einer weiteren Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes kommen an Stelle der Irisblende zwei mit Löchern versehene, gegeneinander verdrehbare Scheiben zur Verwendung, deren eine am Pfeifenkopfe und deren andere am Pfeifenhalse befestigt ist.

Der in den Fig. l und 2 dargestellte Pfeifenhals 17 nimmt in seinem oberen Teil die Hülse 20 (Fig. 3 und 4) auf, welche zweckmässig an ihrem umgebogenen Rande 19 mit dem Halse verlötet, wird. Die Hülse 20 besitzt an ihrem oberen Rande Schlitze 21, in welche die Zapfen 24 der Lamellen 22 (Fig. 5 und 6) der Irisblende eintreten. Fig. 7 zeigt die Hälfte mit den eingehängten Lamellen, wobei diese auswärts herausgebogen sind. Die Lamellen 22 besitzen an den den Zapfen 24 gegenüberliegenden Enden weitere Zapfen 23, die in Bohrungen 29 (Fig. 10) der im Pfeifenkopf 30 befestigten Hülse 28 eintreten.

The present invention relates to a device on tobacco pipes by which the smoke draft is regulated and clogging of the neck is avoided.
A closure on tobacco pipe lids is already known, which is formed by curved lamellae rotatably attached to a ring, by means of which the pipe bowl can be partially covered and the air supply to the pipe bowl can thereby be regulated.
According to the invention, an iris diaphragm or the like should now be switched on between the pipe head and pipe neck on the smoke outlet. By switching on the iris diaphragm regulating the smoke draft between the neck and head of the pipe, the advantage is achieved that the ash crust that forms at the lower end of the pipe head can be removed at any time without the need for a special instrument and thus avoiding clogging of the pipe neck becomes. The head and neck of the pipe according to the present invention are firmly but rotatably and detachably connected to one another, so that the ashes can be easily removed as they fall through.
According to a further embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, instead of the iris diaphragm, two disks provided with holes and rotatable relative to one another are used, one of which is attached to the pipe head and the other to the pipe neck.

The pipe neck 17 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 receives in its upper part the sleeve 20 (FIGS. 3 and 4), which is conveniently soldered to the neck at its bent edge 19. The sleeve 20 has slots 21 on its upper edge into which the pins 24 of the lamellae 22 (FIGS. 5 and 6) of the iris diaphragm enter. Fig. 7 shows half with the slats attached, these being bent outwards. The lamellas 22 have further pins 23 on the ends opposite the pin 24, which enter bores 29 (FIG. 10) of the sleeve 28 fastened in the pipe head 30.
