Process for hot drawing of tungsten wire.
The invention relates to a method for hot drawing tungsten wire, in which inorganic compounds are used to reduce the drawing resistance and which become viscous at the temperatures used during drawing.
EMI1.1
Salts of these partial anhydrides. These compounds, which are consistently complex in nature, do not have a defined Seitmelzplakt, but only a softening point. They can therefore exist as a viscous liquid within fairly wide temperature limits. Such substances are e.g. B. incompletely dehydrated boric acid or phosphoric acid (poly-boric acid or poly-phosphoric acid). From salts come those of the kind
EMI1.2
These tough inorganic substances (salts or acids) can also contain very finely advantageous solid substances such. B. graphite can be added.
The inorganic compounds are applied to the drawing dies (drawing dies) at the entry point of the wire, so that when drawing, which takes place using fairly high temperatures, they change into the viscous state mentioned.
In addition to reducing the drawing resistance, oxidation of the wire entering the heated drawing die and thus assuming its temperature is also achieved. Another way of doing this is to get the wire through
